About Gillian's Place

As one of Ontario's first shelters for those experiencing abuse, Gillian’s Place has been providing safe refuge and support programs in an effort to end domestic violence.

At Gillian's Place, we're much more than a safe shelter. Our team provides confidential, over-the-phone and in-person support services such as outreach counselling, legal advice, and transitional housing for women, children, and 2SLGBTQQIA+ individuals. We are inclusive and welcoming of all women, Two-Spirit, genderqueer, trans, and non-binary people facing violence.

We desire to offer services and spaces where all survivors can come without reservation, knowing that they will be welcomed, respected, and provided with hope, dignity, and choices.

Together, we can help break the cycle of violence in our community.
